L is for Love #AtoZchallenge

L.jpgDear Love,

I’m so glad I chose love letters as my theme for A to Z challenge, because I’m learning so much about you. I’m half-way through the challenge, so perhaps this is a good time to pause and recap.

Here’s what I’ve learnt so far:

A. Loving doesn’t mean absorbing the other person’s pain.

B. Loving sometimes can be simply being together.

C. Loving doesn’t mean making sure that nothing bad ever happens to the other person.

D. Loving can be a lifetime long adventure.

E. Don’t wait too long if you want to say ‘I love you.’

F. Sometimes the most loving thing to do is to let go.

G. Loving our youngest selves is deeply healing.

H. Love may not look as we imagine it should. It’s still love.

I. You don’t always need to have siblings to experience that kind of love.

J. Love is delicate and precious.

K. Love knows no ethnicity.

I’m sure there are many more nuggets, but this would do for now.

With much love,

Gulara xx

Thank you for reading. This post is a part of the April A to Z Blogging Challenge. My theme is ‘love letters’. And while you are here, let’s connect on Facebook and Twitter too.

  1. This is the first post from your love letters that I came across, and now I want to go back and read them all. You write beautifully, from the heart, and with raw honesty.

  2. Gulara, this is a fabulous list and I am definitely going to backtrack through your posts. How are you finding the challenge so far? I’m absolutely loving it but finding it very difficult to juggle it all with the family. I should be spending the month in some kind of blogging retreat, especially one that provides room service. I’m afraid my kids think that’s my job at times!

    • Thank you for reading and your kind words, Rowena, all of my posts up until L linked to the points on the list.
The challenge is great. I’m thoroughly enjoying it, but it’s hard to juggle with work and kids. I found scheduling ahead is the only way I can keep up. Hope you are having a great w/e. Gulara xx
